Hi Everyone,

As you can imagine, Gisel is running around at supersonic speed trying to get everything finished that needs to get done before her “BIG” move. She asked me to update all of her believers with the status of her album. Unfortunately, this latest setback with the Sellaband bankruptcy has impacted her progress negatively. She is currently waiting for HQ to pay her invoices and until they do, she will not be able to move forward. Apparently, Sellaband, v2 is in the process of creating a new bank account from which to pay the invoices and they have assured Gisel that they are working on getting that finished soon, maybe by the end of this week.

Having said that, there isn’t anything she or the other recording artists can do until SAB pays the invoices, because no one will be working for free…not the producers, art directors, etc. She asks that you all understand this may slow down the release of the Album until May, but also know that this is completely out of her hands. She feels terrible that this is happening, but also wants you all to know, she is doing everything possible to speed things along.

Finally, Gisel cannot access her Sellaband account, because she has not accepted the new Terms and Conditions and I support her 100% on this decision. She will however, try her best to keep in touch with everyone through her Facebook account and this website.

Hola everyone!

I have been working on something very special…something a little bit different than my “usual” videos and I couldn’t think of a better time to show you than on the first day of 2010!  As you all know, Gisel’s album will be released soon.  Right now, it is in the technical aspect of the production and for those of you who know Gi, you would understand that she is a perfectionist and this album MUST meet her high standards, before we are blessed with it.

For those of you who haven’t heard Gisel sing, allow me to share my thoughts with you:

Gisel sings about love and when you read her lyrics, you get a sense of what to expect; but when you hear her sing…she will leave you wanting to hear more!  The passion she injects into every song is incredibly powerful; but, when you hear her riffs…her “soft” voice…the super high notes she hits…and the power with which she delivers her message…you know this is an artist that will soon be recognized around the world!

Gisel’s Dynamic vocals showcase her 4-Octave range through many of the songs you will hear on her Sellaband playlist and on her website.

She is a brilliant, extremely talented and gifted singer and songwriter who will evoke intense emotions in the listener…you will feel her passion in every song she sings!

Her versatility surfaces when she sings soft and gentle melodies that are sensuous to the ear; but in the same breath, she is capable of unleashing powerful vocals that will leave you in awe! Just listen to “Roma”…you will understand why I write this.  She begins the song softly…and then slowly builds it to an incredible finish; all while drawing the listener in, when finally, they say WOW!  That was incredible!   She sings this beautiful song in her native language of Spanish and even if you do not understand the words (like me), you will be moved by her message.   The energy and passion she brings to this masterpiece is unrivaled!  When she hits the super high note at the end…it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up…every single time I hear it!  In my opinion, this is her signature song and it is by far, my favorite song of all time, by ANY artist.  I am convinced that “Roma” will find its way onto a big movie soundtrack, because it is that good!

Gisel’s beautiful Vibrato and Tremolo genuinely expresses her emotions and she transfers those emotions to the listener.  It won’t be long before Gisel will be singing to a packed house with a full orchestra.  I say this because that is what she deserves and I sincerely believe with all my heart, it will happen…many times!

Her music transcends International language barriers and when you hear “Roma”, I think you’ll agree.  I hope everyone reading this post will visit her website and listen to her demos…you’ll be happy you did and will most certainly become a fan.

Now the fun part. Gisel LOVES butterflies, so I’ve created a “story” summarizing her journey since she first joined Sellaband in March of 2007. I hope you all enjoy it…

Hola Everyone!

I’m sorry for being away for the past couple of weeks; but I’ve not had access to the Internet and could not post any news. First, I would like to thank Inge, Cecile, and all the believers who showed up for the Meet and Greet at the Grand Cafe de Salon in Bergen op Zoom. I had soooooo much fun singing for everyone again and seeing all my friends and believers! I was sad to see it end, but will carry the memory with me forever!

Hola Everybody!!!

Well, we finished the recordings today!!!!!!! yeaaaaaahhh!!!  The results are wonderful and I am confident the album will be great for sure!!!!  I just wish I could keep going….

We are very happy and we celebrated by toasting with a cup of hot chocolate AND chocolate…jajaj

Hola Everyone!

I finally had a chance to check my blog today and it was a wonderful surprise to find people’s comments here!! even people that I don’t know! I’m very happy for that!  This makes me want to write more! :jaja

Recording has been crraaazzzzy and now I’m sooooo tired…uffff!!  Oh yes! we’ve recorded 11 songs already!!!!!! yeahhh!!   The album will have 12 songs and there is just 1 song left to finish all of the voice recordings, and then we’ll start the editing process.   Here’s a breakdown from this week:

• I recorded 2 songs on Monday…”Thinking of you” and “What people say“,
• 2 songs on Tuesday…”I want to know” and “Not enough of a man“,
• and 2 more songs on Thursday…”Sweet condemnation” and “I’ll never see you again“.

I’m soooo very happy about the songs!!!! I believe there is a wonderful mix of songs and even Marcus said that the songs are great and it’s going to be hard to choose the best ones!

What is wonderful about them, is that every song is so different!  There are very, very sweet ballads, pop and modern songs, up tempo songs and some of them are very special in music and lyrics.  For example, in “Not enough of a man” (as the title might tell you), it’s a kind of of a hate song! jajaj  It has a LOT of personality and it was so funny to sing too!!  I was laughing because my producer told me that he showed that song to one of his music colleagues and he loved it; but said, “ohh! she is mean!” jaja  It’s very funny to be able to play different roles in each song and give the listener different and new experiences to enjoy.

Maybe one of my favorite ones is “Sweet Condemnation“.  It’s a very sweet song and I feel that many people will be able to identify with its lyrics.  I loved singing it!!

“I’ll never see you again” is another one of my favorites!!  it’s a ballad, but with a pop and current sound, and the drums are so powerful!!  Also, the violins are just incredible and they make the song very special.

Monday will be the last day of recording.  I’ve chosen my song “Roma” as the last one to record, because I want to be completely focused on this one, as it’s one of the most powerful ballads in the album.  I’ll do all my best to sing it as beautifully as possible and I will put all my heart in to each word I sing.  Besides, it’s going to be a bittersweet feeling, as this is going to be the last time that I”ll be in front of the microphone, at least for this album!

I’ll miss living this incredible experience of recording a lot , but I’m hoping that this album will be so good, that it will help me to make more in the future and sing many more songs for all of you!

Hola everyone!

Well, I was finally able to get a few pictures for you of me in the studio…I hope you like them!!

I recorded “I wish I could fly” today!  I truly believe that we did a new and great job!!!  We’re going to use a gospel chorus for this song and I played a LOT with my voice!   Oh, and I’ve even reached a very, very high note in full voice: an F#, the same as Celine’s, “All by myself“!   It was crazyyyyy but such a great experience!

Finally, I updated Pacarina’s “A Singing Angel” link in the right sidebar.

I am having sooooooo much fun!  Thank you all for supporting me and sending me your mails.  I hope you’re enjoying my blog, because it is the easiest way for me to keep in touch with all of you .

Hola everyone!!

Well, after a long trip of almost 9 hours,  I finally made it to Dover!  Rox Clayton Scott came to pick me up at the hotel at 9.30 in the morning and we stayed in the Studio until 7 in the evening.

It was such a long day!!  But also so great!  Marcus and I talked a lot about our ideas for the album.  We’ve been discussing what to do, what not to do, where to focus the album, which style to work in, and we recorded my song, “I found you“.

I was very, very, nervous and excited, so it took me quite a bit to get used to the studio and feel comfortable.  But today was a great day!!!!  We’ve recorded 2 ballads: “Until you’re back” and “All the way“. I’m so very happy with the results!  I feel like everything flowed wonderfully and we’ve been able to create some great music!!  And best of all, I enjoyed the process at the same time!!

I’m really happy with Marcus!!!  He has GREAT ideas and he’s done great, great, great songs!!  He’s also very responsible and talented and wants to do something wonderful.  I truly believe that it’s going to be hard to choose the best song

“All the way” has a lot of strings and it’s very beautiful and “Until you’re back” will have so much power and sweetness at the same time.  Marcus will make the ballads incredibly powerful, because he’ll add live drums, piano, guitars and bass to them.  And of course, real strings!!

And the up tempo songs are just unbelievable!  They are so powerful and catchy!  I love them!!

As you can see, I am so excited and very happy!!  I’m taking a day off to rest my voice and maybe walk around Dover a little bit.  The Bed & Breakfast is so loooooovely and beautiful and the owner is lovely too!

Thank you all so much for making this possible!!  I am so blessed to have such great friends and believers as you!

I love you all and can’t wait until you have my CD!  I’m doing the best I can for all of you!!

Thank you all for the wonderful messages you left for me on my Sell A Band page!  I’m so happy to be here in Europe and now I am getting ready to start the recordings..I’m so excited and nervious!! jajajaja

I’m very blessed to be able to do what I’ve always dreamt of, which is to sing for all of you!

My trip was a long trip, but I had the chance to sleep a lot after I arrived!  uffff!  I was so tired!

Now I’m preparing everything before traveling to record the album.  I’m very busy doing things, but I am happy to be moving forward with the album.  I promise you all that I will do my very best for you!

Thank you for believing in me.  You’ve made me the happiest girl on earth!
